wipers and alarm going off by themselves
The windscreen wipers have started up and the car alarm has gone off on my 2005 CDT.
I have checked the plenum and that is fine. For now I have disconnected the battery. The car has not moved for a week or two but there was heavy rain last night. Any pointers on where to look please? thanks macafee2 |

Thanks Simon, I hope I don't have to strip this much down to get to it
https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=291790 and I sure as heck could not programme https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=244447 How will I know before I change it, if the BCU is the problem? Will a T4 session tell me? macafee2 Last edited by macafee2; 18th February 2024 at 13:32.. |

Do you have the highline sat nav with the drives in the boot? If so check they are not wet. Had this on one of mine before where the drives were wet and the wipers wouldn't turn off and the car wouldn't lock/unlock.

Check that water hasn’t got into the door wiring plugs. I had it on one of mine and it was setting the wipers off randomly

When I had this happen it was the bonnet switch. I’d driven down the M6 in torrential rain and this started about 2 hours after parking up.
