As Mike said there is a outline marking on the back but you will need to cut a smaller hole than this as the marking is too large. If you follow the marking you'll have a large gap all around the button.

I used a dremel tool to do a couple of mine. Started by marking the oval shape I want to cut out, then drilling small holes all around my marking and popping that out, and then using a sanding attachment to smoothen out the oval shape.

Make the cut out size smaller than you need, then you can keep sanding it out until it's the right size.
