I send headlights out in the post every week with no issues. If you wrap them in bubble wrap and place them in a box with plenty of space around the light so that they're not tightly packed they're fine. I always use Parcelforce which is around £17 for 48 hour service. It's only when cheap couriers like Hermes or Yodel are used is when the lights become damaged, and the damage usually is a broken bracket or two.
