I can't quite understand why they'd only use a single digit for the year code - as we've seen in this thread it's important to be able to distinguish between belts 2 and 12 years old. I'm glad they're using a method that allows the exact year to be pinpointed now - but that's a heck of an oversight. Thanks again for posting.
