Default Navall 3 Sat nav volume settings

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the volume for the sat nav voice can be turned down? The voice is considerably louder than my music output, so I either have to have my music a bit low or get a massive fright everytime the satnav speaks.

I tried changing the volume settings in the sat nav but it turns the volume of the whole Navall down rather than just the satnav voice.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

On the subject of sat Nav, can the TTS voice speed be increased, I'm sure that woman is on drugs, the speed setting in general settings does not appear to affect it?

Hi
You should find this in settings, language & input, speech rate.
You can make it faster or slower, it should also give you 'listen to an example' so you can check what it sounds like.
Hope this helps!

There is a setting for volume default at boot up and I think it covers sat nav too.
That might help if you can get it set to a default and work from there rather than full blast so to speak.

Thanks Clive, but I have tried that. Changes in that area do not appear to affect the navigation tts voice.
Immediately below the speech rate selection there is a facility to listen to a sample of the selected speech rate, however, although the speech rate is fine here, the sample bears no relationship to the navigation voice???

Hi Polly

Strange That. Mines the other way round. The speech sample for 'Kate' is awful, but in use it's OK. This is on Nav 3.

I'm going to start writing down my own set of instructions as to how to find the settings. It takes me forever to find a certain settings because I find they are very well hidden. Do others find the same, or is it just me

Hi Sir Jeff

I have looked at your excellent 'How To Videos' on her and they are brilliant.

However, this is me were talking about I'm not a spring chicken any more, and I find they are a bit to fast for me. I have to keep replaying 'cause I cant keep up
