Dash Lights And Clock Colour
Hello all
New to the scene so sorry if I am asking nooby question's. I am cutting my teeth with a 75 Cons 54 plate. The dash lighting appears to be a nice warm white colour, I have seen many 75's with the amber colour. Was this a change from mark I to markII? Not really bothering me but the amber looks better IMO. Your comments and advise are always much apprecited. Martyn

Mkii 75's with the facelift dials have white backlighting. Only the mki 75s have amber backlighting for the dials.

Mine is a 2004 facelift, which came with white lights.
I never liked them, or the facelift clock faces, so I changed both. old-style faces and amber glow LEDs

That’s interesting.
I never realised that they were different. My mk2 has amber lights and, having just checked, it appears that I have mk1 clocks. It was built in April ‘04 though, which might explain it. |

Early mkii's still had the mki clocks fitted. My dad's was the same. Changed the dials for mkii ones when I did the highline upgrade for him as we prefer the look of them but kept the amber backlighting.

Probably just the run down of old stock during the change over i suspect. You do see this with later bumpers and earlier bumpers on the same plates and other parts.
