Spent some time on our 75
Spent some time tidying up the front end on my dad's 75. The premium bumper was looking pretty tired to spent Friday to Sunday last week stripping the whole thing down and respraying it. Really pleased with how it's come out, matches the paint work on the rest of the car perfectly in colour and shine.
Also polished up the indicator lenses which were looking pretty milky. Installed the new headlights as well. This set have the new slim LED switchback DRL strips fitted set up as daytime running lights and also flash amber with the indicators. The halos in the fogs are also set up as daytime running lights. I've also installed a halo ring in each headlight set up as the sidelights at 50% brightness so they're not overly bright. The halos in the fogs also dim down to match the halos in the headlights when the sidelights are switched on. The DRL strips have the sequential indicator function, so flash across the strips similar to many new cars these days with sequential indicators. The projector lenses have been custom etched with a Rover 75 logo which is visible when the dipped beams are switched on. The custom lens etching doesn't affect the beam pattern or light output at all. The projectors have also been fitted with the RGB demon eye set up I now offer where RGB colour changing LEDs are installed around the inside of the projector which lights up the custom etched design on the lenses. This has been set up so that the Demon eyes + the DRL strips and the halos in the fog lights turn on when the car is unlocked. The demon eyes then turn off when the ignition is switched on. The Demon eyes can be set to various different colours, we've set them to red as it gives the front end a bit of a mean evil look when the car is unlocked. To finish off the front end I ordered a new replacement number plate with the correct shape for the premium bumper, and has the MG Rover dealer logos on it Really freshened up the front end which was much needed, looks so much better now. Sequential indicators:

Thanks really pleased with the front end now. It started to look pretty bad. First time I've actually managed to get the premium bumper to fit properly as well as it would never line up with the wings properly before, which has made a huge difference

Well spotted last time I painted the central section of the grill silver, but decided to colour code it this time. |

Where did you get that number plate, it's just what i'm looking for, a standard one just isn't quite right is it? That's a very nice job and a good fit to.

It's a friend of mine who's a seller on facebook who does the front and rear plates with options such as the dealer logos on them and does the rear smiley plates too. He has a few of the premium bumper shaped plates left. I'll pm you his contact details.

How'do Rick
that looks nice - I like the Premium Bumper/Grille on this Car - it works well, with the Black Paint and the Chrome Trim having excellent contrast I appreciate the work involved with the lights too maybe an Original(pre-facelift) Grille Badge would be a wee cherry to finish the front end off nicely your Dad must be chuffed to bits Paul. |

Thanks Paul
I actually prefer the facelift badges with the nicer red in them, the grill badge I managed to get brand new a few years back, and now have matching wheel center cap badges as well. He sure is, he hasn't stopped looking at it and playing around with the RGB demon eye lights since aha |
