Default access to sunlight sensor

on our 75 last week for some bazar reason the clip for the sunlight sensor at the front of the dash broke and the sensor itself has unplugged. Looking through the windscreen the plug for the sensor seems to have dropped down a little so can't plug it back in. Is the plug accessible if I remove the head unit?

I would try on the IPK side, it seems to me that on the head unit side it is less accessible
