Default Idle moment....

In an idle moment I wondered if anyone had fitted a 5-litre Coyote engine to a v8 ZT?

Add a Roush supercharger (some of engines came with one fitted?) and you'd have a super saloon which would challenge any Mercedes, BMW or Audi!

Yes its been done by Shrader Performance in the US on a grey mkii ZT-T 260 they imported from the UK a few years back. Steve (if I remember the name rightly) has posted about it on the 260 Facebook page many times. Last time I saw it was running over 700bhp.

No its never been for sale and still exists. Steve uses it at drag races. I think you may be thinking of Geraint's blue 1.8t ZTT which was tuned to make 500bhp but wasn't quite finished before he passed away. Not sure what happened to that car, it may have been broken up.

Here's some pics of the coyote ZTT. He also has a typhoon ZTT 260 and I believe the firefrost one is a prototype model (euro 5 I think?)

It was and I think still is up for sale, £35000 plus costs to get it back which I think he said was about £3,500.

A very unique and fast car, about 9.2 sec standing quarter, which is quicker than most 1 litre plus superbikes.
