Doesn't the steering go heavy when the belt snaps
Driving home tonight when the steering went very heavy and the battery warning light came on , guess what I'm doing first thing in the morning

Yes it does, and you don't have much time to get off the road as the water pump stops turning and the engine will 'nip up' quite quickly.

That's when a manual override for the FBH comes in handy.

Thanks for the very kind offer Brian but I've got a spare belt and a spanner that'll fit ( that's put the kiss of death on it ! ) luckily I'm off work from Tomorrow so no big rush , if it all goes pear shaped I'll give you a PM , thanks Jon

It sure does get heavy, drove mine home 6 miles one night after the belt came off when i started the zt to drive home after a night out. Made it home fine luckily.

Yes it does, especialy when you're at a T junction , turning out to the main road .
