It's a diesel auto clocks going into a diesel manual, but I assume that's no problem as it will be cleared anyway?
The deline is £25 and virginisation is £5, and I'll just enable the digital speedo for free for you return postage is £17 insured next day with parcel force.

Diesel auto clocks going into a diesel manual won't be a problem

I'm around all next week still if you need the clocks done sooner, otherwise anytime after I return will be fine 19th June onwards

Excellent, thank you

It's a shame you're so far away, or I feel a trip coming on

Rick-sta,

You mention that the Airbag light should come on for a few seconds and then go off and stay off.

What would the problem be if it goes off after a few seconds BUT then comes back on again ..Any idea ??

Worth the trip of you'd like to get other things done at the same time I think I'm about 4 hours away from you. Travelled up to Bristol earlier this year which was about 3 hours and that was a nice drive

Hi John, does the airbag light come straight back on immediately after turning off or does it turn on a while after once you've started driving.

If it comes on whilst driving its usually due to the airbag or pre-tensioner plugs under the driver's or passenger's seat (more commonly the driver's seat) being a bit lose, as movement sets off the airbag warning light.

Another bodge I have seen on some cars is because of an Airbag or ABS fault the bulb is wired into some timing circuitry so it just illuminates the bulb for the required 3 or 4 seconds and goes out.

Yeah, 200 miles each way! It's an 8hr trip, but we did drive to Klartzy last time lol. Good timing with some friends who lived nearby. If you had a T4, then I could use it as an excuse to activate the auto wipers etc......

I had the same air bag problem where it came on after a second or two, it was the controller the lives in the centre console. It cost £15 for another one, not much for knowing they would work and certainly better than failing the MOT

It took a while but I eventually spotted that a piece of black felt had been put over Kims airbag warning light.
I had the seats up to clean the connectors, power back on and started her up. The airbag light was out. I moved the drivers seat back to it's position, still no airbag light. I then moved the passenger seat backwards and the airbag light came back on immediately.
I'll need to remove the seats to get a better look, but it seems someone has joined the wires together with insulation tape, rather than soldering. I will check again when I get the chance but my question is, if this doesn't help, how difficult is putting a new controller in?
Thanks.

Really? That's not good, vac'd mine the other day and must have hit something under one of the seats as now the warning lights on all the time. Better get that fixed before the holidays are over and I need the car again!

Also, I know from experience that when the ABS warning light is on the ABS braking system is disengaged.
That's not necessarily the case. The ABS light came on on my old ZT (after one of my neighbours ran into it) and the ABS cut in everytime I braked.
