Retrofit cruise control
So I've finally got round to connecting all the wires on my retrofit cdti without factory loom,I'm confident I've got all the connections ok and the brake and clutch switches are good but the cruuse light on the ipk stays permanently on when the engine is started and the cruise switch only flashes green briefly when pressed someting is wrong somewhere just wondering if anyone else has had this ,can the cruise ecu fail ?

I have not encountered a faulty diesel cruise ecu to date, I would carefully recheck your wiring is correct
The wiring diagram I've attached for you Best of luck Brian |

Thanks for the info Brian, I’m going to double check the wiring bit worried about connecting it up again though in case it causes problems with the main ecu

sounds to me like you may have 2 wires the wrong way around. I'm assuming you used my how to guide for retroffiting cruise control here:https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=228668
Have another thorough check of all the cable connections to ensure they're all connected to the right places. Having two cables the wrong way around can easily be missed. I'd start at the cruise master switch. |
