interesting.
I'll need to have a chat with cb750 chris as he set the clocks in my tourer. I got them from a scrap yard so he had to configure them for my car. Hopefully chris will come onto this thread. I'm not complaining about chris's work just wondering why my saloon does not have the speedo macafee2 Last edited by macafee2; 14th March 2019 at 20:08.. |

It doesn't really matter Ian, it isn't done with T4, however if you download Phil's toolkit onto a laptop, suspend the antivirus, then unzip the file and then
enable the digital speedo Or as others have done, use TOAF to do the same job. Brian |

Hi Ian, As Brian says, the digital speedometer cannot be enabled using the T4. However when I did your replacement IPK, I coded it in using the t4, then manually enabled the digital speedometer afterwards (as it seems silly not to have the option available). If you want me to disable it on your tourer, or enable it on your saloon just give me a shout and I will sort you out. Regards Chris

I can do it for you Ian using my BMW scanner software I seem to remember I did Simon’s for him too now that I think of it.
Give me a shout after the National Weekend when I’m a little less busy. EDIT: just seen Chris’s post, so looks like he’ll sort you out.

Digital speedo activation
Good question Ian! It was a few years ago now and it's hard to remember as I've had T4 connected on several occasions, but Reebs says it was him and he may well be right (he usually is!). I did not realise that it was done with a separate piece of equipment or I was told and I've forgotten. What stuck in my mind is that it's been lost a few times after diagnostic sessions and restored using only T4, hence my confusion.
Simon
