Default FBH Best Option on a car ever????

One of the reasons I returned after a long absence to a Rover 75 was the Fuel burning heater. The last few mornings a simple press of the remote 15 mins before leaving and got into a nice warm defrosted car and drove away.

My neighbor who leaves the same time as me stopped me this morning standing next to his top of the range VW and questioned how this magic happened.

It's a Rover, I said, full of surprises.

On a cold and frosty morning best option on a car ever.....

aaahhhhh FBH. Not using the Rover at the moment, driving around in a Mercedes slk at the moment. Can not wait to get back in the Rover for real luxury. No, not kidding.

I bought one of these at a scrapper last week and was not all that bothered about fitting it and the inevitable trouble-shooting in the cold weather, but all the gloating here has made me realise I'd better think again!

I've moved it up my to-do list.

How rare are the remote controls? I checked the car I took the FBH from and it didn't have one. I know about the GSM upgrade so may well go along that route if I can't get one.

This is likely to be the printed circuit board. Send it to FrenchMike for testing and repair. On a cold frosty morning you cannot beat a FBH.

One of the best things I've fitted to my ZT, mine has the GSM relay too so I sent it a text to turn it on just as I get out of bed in the morning. Was handy when I was working in London and used to take the train home, a few stops before mine I'd text the FBH to switch it on. nice warm toasty car

I have a FBH & very greatful I am for it too! I start the car before I have my breakfast, lock it with my spare key and get into a defrosted car!

I would love to install a GSM but I lack the know how. Does anyone in Suffolk/Cambridge area want to supply & fit one for me? Obviously I'd travel & pay for the privilege!
