Default Battery Warning light

The battery warning lamp refuses to go out on my 02 CDT CLUB SE., and is starting to become tiresome.

New voltage regulator, battery holds charge at 12.9 v

Meter reads 14.3 v across the battery terminals with everything switched on fans hrw all lights etc. both at tickover and revved, fuses all intact.

Neg lead from alternator /starter back to battery removed, cleaned, greased.
Plug from Pos side cleaned, no signs locally of any fraying/ breaks unless hid within its ribbed conduit of course, out of sight.

Is there anything else that is fed directly from the alternator, that could fail and generate a fault, and cause this warning lamp to illuminate ?

Snagger.

you have tried a battery reset and OBDII fault reset... I found my emissions fault hung round even though I fixed the root cause till I got a cheap OBDII reset and cleared it.

I assumed a battery reset would have applied after I had it removed/ disconnected from car, whilst working on the new regulator.

Not tried and OBD reset Klarzy, it may indeed be something as simple as that.

Can anybody recommend any particular device should there be one available, to clear fault codes etc... bearing in mind my car is not OBD 2 compliant ?

Thanks for the suggestion, but even a cheap one wont work with my car, it looks like a T4 session.

Which one do you have? Might be useful to have in the toolbox. Mine is a 51.
